SKY TAXI Sri Lanka Terms and Conditions

Welcome to SKY TAXI Sri Lanka (“SKY TAXI,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our website, mobile applications, and related services. By registering for, accessing, or using SKY TAXI services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
SKY TAXI provides a technology platform that connects customers with drivers and delivery service providers, where available. Services may include motorbike rides and delivery, Tuk-Tuk rides, car transportation (including Mini, XL and Comfort categories), van services, and other services introduced through the platform. Availability depends on the operating area, vehicle availability, applicable permits, and local regulations.
Customers must provide accurate and up-to-date information, including their name and contact details. Customers are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and for activity through their accounts. Accounts must not be used for fraud, harassment, illegal activity, or other misuse of the platform.
A booking request does not guarantee driver availability. A trip is confirmed when the platform or assigned driver confirms it. Before starting a trip, customers should verify the vehicle registration number, driver details, and vehicle category.
Fares may depend on vehicle category, distance, duration, disclosed waiting charges, minimum fares, and other charges disclosed before or during booking. Customers should review the fare shown in the app before confirming. Any applicable fare calculation for route changes or additional waiting should be explained through the platform. SKY TAXI may update its fare structure and will communicate updates through the app or other appropriate channels.
Customers must pay using the payment method supported for their booking, such as cash or an available digital payment method. Users must not avoid valid payments or demand unauthorized payments. For a payment dispute, contact SKY TAXI support with the booking reference and relevant details.
Customers should cancel promptly if a ride is no longer required. Drivers should promptly notify customers if they cannot fulfil a confirmed booking. A cancellation fee may apply only if clearly disclosed in advance and permitted by law. Repeated cancellations, false bookings, or platform misuse may lead to account restrictions.
Report unsafe driving, harassment, suspected fraud, or serious incidents to the appropriate authorities and SKY TAXI where appropriate.
Drivers using the platform must hold a valid licence for the relevant vehicle category and maintain legally required registration, insurance, permits, and other documents. Drivers must keep vehicles safe and roadworthy, obey traffic laws, treat customers respectfully, protect customer information, and promptly report accidents and safety incidents. Drivers must never drive while impaired by alcohol, drugs, or other substances.
Driver fares, service fees, commissions, promotions, and payment arrangements will be communicated separately through the driver app, a driver agreement, or an official SKY TAXI announcement. Any zero-commission promotion, including an introductory six-month offer, applies only if officially confirmed and is subject to the stated promotion terms. No minimum number of bookings or level of income is guaranteed.
Promotions are subject to their stated eligibility, duration, geographical availability, and other disclosed conditions. Offers must not be used fraudulently and cannot be combined unless expressly permitted. Promotions may be suspended or withdrawn according to their disclosed terms and applicable law.
Users must not create fake accounts or bookings, manipulate fares or trip records, harass or abuse others, attempt unauthorized access to the platform, use the platform unlawfully, submit false documents, impersonate others, or interfere with platform security. Violations may lead to restrictions, suspension, termination, or referral to authorities where appropriate.
SKY TAXI may process information needed to operate the platform, including contact details, booking information, location data, trip records, and payment-related information where applicable. This information may be used to manage accounts, match customers and drivers, facilitate bookings and payments, provide support, improve security, investigate complaints, and meet legal obligations. Personal information will be handled under our Privacy Policy and applicable Sri Lankan data protection laws. The app may use GPS or other location services for pickup points, routing, navigation, and trip updates. Accuracy may depend on the device, network, GPS availability, and third-party mapping services. Users should check pickup and destination details before confirming a booking.
SKY TAXI may rely on third-party services for maps, navigation, payments, communications, and other technical functions. These providers may have their own terms and privacy policies. SKY TAXI will address related issues according to applicable law and its responsibilities as a platform operator.
Drivers must maintain insurance and other documents required by law. In an accident or emergency, contact the appropriate emergency services and notify SKY TAXI. Complaints should include the trip reference, date, incident description, and available supporting evidence. Coverage and responsibility depend on the facts, relevant insurance policy, contracts, and applicable law.
SKY TAXI aims to provide reliable services but does not guarantee uninterrupted app availability, continuous GPS accuracy, or constant driver availability. Maintenance, network outages, technical failures, weather, road conditions, and events outside our reasonable control may affect service. We will take reasonable steps to address operational problems.
To the extent permitted by law, SKY TAXI is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses caused by temporary service interruptions, inaccurate third-party information, or events outside its reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where prohibited by law, including applicable statutory consumer rights. Responsibility for a trip, accident, insurance claim, or third-party act will be assessed according to the facts, contracts, and applicable law.
SKY TAXI may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where there is reasonable evidence of fraud, serious misconduct, safety risks, legal violations, or material breach of these Terms. Where appropriate and lawful, users may be given an explanation and an opportunity to resolve the issue. Users may request account closure through available support channels, subject to legal record-retention requirements.
SKY TAXI may update these Terms to reflect service changes, operational requirements, or legal developments. The updated version will be published on the website or app with a revised effective date where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Disputes will be handled by competent courts or other appropriate dispute-resolution bodies in Sri Lanka, subject to applicable law.
